June 1, 2012 - GVS S.p.A, Bologna, Italy has acquired the filter product business from NP Medical Inc. The acquired products are manufactured in Cayey, Puerto Rico and are marketed under NP Medical's IVEX and Nutrivex brands.
NP Medical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nypro Inc.. Both NP Medical Inc. and Nypro Inc. are headquartered in Clinton, Massachusetts USA.
Founded in 1979, GVS is a global technology leader in the development and manufacture of filtration products primarily serving the medical and automotive markets. GVS has eleven manufacturing plants in Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, China, Romania and the United States, with supporting sales offices in fourteen countries.

NP Medical Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and distributes proprietary intravenous (IV) drug and fluid delivery products used in a variety of critical medical applications such as chemotherapy and intensive care. Products are distributed to large medical device OEMs where NP Medical maintains a leading market position in the IV fluid control valve market.
