Materials of construction for filters and components
The plastic resins used to manufacture the filter supports are ABS, Nylon, Polypropylene, Polyethene, PVC and Polycarbonate. A wide range of thermoplastics, elastomers and technologically advanced materials are used to satisfy the specifications requested by the client. All medical products are made with "medical grade" resins, their choice is made according to the assembly and sterilization method required.
Filtering textiles include monofilament mesh in nylon, polyester, steel, bronze, copper and non-woven textiles with filtration from 2 to 300 micron. Microporous hydrophobic and hydrophilic membranes are also used and surface treatments are possible. Filtering capacity from 0.02 to 10 micron.
The high competence of GVS in mold manufacturing technology also means that inserts of any metal may be used, including brass, steel and the most advanced alloys.
