In response to the new emerging technology to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions from exhaust, enabling diesel heavy commercial vehicles to meet new NOx Exhaust Gas After treatment emission legislation requirements on a worldwide scale, GVS developed a new filter line for the new reduction needs.
Actually, SCR systems (Selective Catalyst Reduction) represent the main NOx reduction technology. The SCR dosing control unit feeds into the exhaust gas flow of the catalytic converter a reduction agent called AdBlue®, a chemical synthetic aqueous solution with a 30% urea content (AdBlue®), transforming the nitrous oxides into water and harmless nitrogen.
